Hotel review:
As said on my previous post : During my staycay a week ago, we went to Hotel Clover; The Arts over at Clarke Quay. The place itself was 10-15 mins away from Clarke Quay MRT station. When we first arrived outside of the hotel, the exterior looked normal, not how I expected it to look like. However, once we entered. It stayed true to its name The Arts. It was very artsy. Once we've entered the door, the reception is just there and everything was easy to find. The receptionist was very friendly and kind. There was even some sweets for guest to take (a plus from me). The receptionist was also quick to solve and assist us in some unforeseen matters regarding our hotel room booking. Booking in went smoothly with her help, of course.
After getting our room key; we were given only one key which was (again) not what I had expected. And with that one key, we tap the card in the elevator and pushed the 5th level. Our hotel room theme was Japan's Famous Cherry Blossom. When I entered, it literally felt like I was transported to Japan during their Cherry Blossom Festival. The cherry blossom design on the walls looks very 3D and real even, to the touch. There was even a small (fake) cherry blossom plant right beside our queen-sized bed. They decorated the room much to the theme assigned. Other than cherry blossom themed, I also saw some rooms that are tiger cubs theme, bamboo themes and many more.
Besides the design and decor of the room, the room was spacious & clean & nearly looked high-class. So since it was only my bestfriend and I, we explored the whole room. We checked where was the shower area, the toilet area, the coffee maker area etc. and the best part; there are bath robes for us to use. Of course I had to try it one and take a nap in it. After 20-30 mins of ransacking the hotel room, we went exploring the exterior of the hotel. The front of the hotel looks normal, almost boring. However, the back of the hotel looks stunning. It looked spectacular. Like a very real-like painting.
The "windows" there in the room are just for show and getting sunlight in the room. Those so-called "windows" doesn't open like how a window should. I totally felt like I was cheated of my feelings. But nonetheless, the view from out window is wonderful. We were able to see Marina Bay Sands hotel and the Ferris wheel from where we were.
Perks of not being able to sleep at night and also because 2 people beside me snored damn loudly: I got to see the sunrise as well as the full moon for that morning / night. We also went to the rooftop pool in the nearby (another) hotel clover. As typed in my previous post, it literally felt like a private pool for us.
& on the side note: There's a week left of holidays!
Enjoy while you still can ^^ xoxo
