You may think that since over 5 million people are living in Singapore, you won't, let's say, bump into the same person twice. It's impossible you say etc (you are dead wrong). Especially when it comes to knowing someone, there will be like 5 other people whom you know that knows that same someone; Which basically makes it 10x worst. This especially holds true when you're at a "I want to meet new people" phase/stage in your life and suddenly when you're at the 7th guy and he knows the 3rd guy's girlfriends' brother. & you're there like wtf. what just happen. Sometimes it's cool and fun and all but after awhile, it kinda gets annoying and you just want to migrate out of Singapore. Cause, who wants to know the same person whom your friends know? that ain't special anymore bruh. And knowing that someone else's knows that someone just feels like they somewhat know part of your private life, which is hella scary if you ask me.
Personally, when I met this guy and he told me stories about his past, It was all good until he said another guys' name, which made it more interesting, (long story short, he was talking about a girl whom he thought that I should know since we were in the same school etc.... P.S i don't know the girl) I kind of freak out for a moment and that's where all the questions started. Of course, we both had these wtf fml faces on. & we hated the fact that Singapore is such a small place that everyone knows everyone. Soon, nothing will be discreet anymore. If you embarrassed yourself in public, your mum will know about it 5 minutes after the incidents ... and you haven't even finish feeling embarrassed about it.
Nothing will be a secret anymore.
