There Is Nothing We Can Do To Stop Them. So, Might As Well Do Something That We Enjoy.
Here are some points I'd like to talk about:
Relationship
When in a relationship or going to be in one, never have your perception of that person come from friends or even family; basically people who are not even involved in your relationship. If you hear rumors or something good or bad about that person, never assume that person is 100% like that always. Whatever you hear might just be 10% of what other people heard. & us being human, we know we tend to exaggerate the whole story into something that's more interesting however, might be 99.99% false. & if you are mature enough to have a relationship, please also be mature enough to think for yourself and not to get influenced by the "stories" you heard. Because at the end of the day,
YOU ARE IN THE R/SHIP WITH THAT PERSON, NOT YOUR FRIENDS NOR FAMILY.
So please, stand up for yourself, your decisions & opinions.
Fashion
This has always been the main reason why people judge, talk bad about and even spread rumors about (esp in Singapore). I know Singapore is a very conservative country. Therefore, people living here are always so cautious of what they wear. Be it something revealing or conservative, they will get judged and eyes will just be fixated on them. I've had friends (or even myself), spending hours thinking of what I'm going to wear for an outing or to the beach let's say; Obviously, we won't want to wear something that covers us everywhere cause it's damn hot, and would want to wear something that is easily taken off. Personally, us being teenagers (or young adults) & this being the 21st century, Most of us don't really care about any of them, but sometimes, the stares that we get can be as hurtful as a bullet to the heart. So, Let's all stop all of this judgmental stares and just let people express themselves and their creative side. There is no wrong or right way to dress, if you are comfortable just wear it.
Make up
"She wears too much make up"
"Her make up skills got to go, she suck at doing her own make up"
"Ew she uses drugstore makeup products. I use Chanel, MAC etc. #winning"
Why are we downgrading people who uses too much make up or who sucks at doing their make up or even people who uses affordable make up products? Make up is Make up. Why be so harsh on the people? Personally, some people requires more make up than others to hide their blemishes or to get the effect that they want. Just because they have too much make up on, doesn't make them any less pretty than they actually are. It's all an individual preference. Secondly, make up skills can be improved (by watching YouTube videos), however, that attitude of yours won't. Everyone sucks at doing make up at first. That's why people practice, to make their skills better than before. It's okay to suck at make up now, cause right now, your life doesn't depend on how good your make up skills are. If it does suck now, just keep practicing, so in the future, people will be wow-ed at your transformation. Don't give in to them. Lastly, the brands of a make up product does not guarantee you a flawless make up finish. This goes back to the make up skills. What good is it to have good quality, branded make up products if you don't know how to apply them properly. Does that mean people who uses drugstore make up looks shitty? No. Personally, I have a balance of branded and non-branded make up products. Because why would I get a $50 lipstick from MAC, when I can get a $20 lipstick from Maybelline that looks exactly the same? Sometimes, people just want to save money and there is nothing wrong with doing that. Do what is comfortable.
You want to wear make up? Go ahead.
You don't? Go ahead.
You want to wear a lot? By all means.
You'd rather wear a little? It's okay.
JUST DO IT
